Many kudos and congrats to the July 2015 Traveler of the Month, Nicole D., and also our Rising Star winner, Katie M.
Traveler of the Month Nicole is an ICU RN. She has been in nursing for 5 years, traveling for 15 months, and just finished a travel assignment in Illinois. Her Career Consultant at Medical Solutions is Shari D.
Nicole comes from a big family — including three brothers and one sister — and says that seeing the United States has been the best part of being a Travel Nurse.
“I’m seeing things I’m not sure I would have ever seen [without Travel Nursing],” she says.
And Nicole’s favorite location so far?
“Southern California was my favorite,” she says. “I met some awesome people and enjoyed all that California has to offer.”
Nicole offers a couple of fantastic tips for new Travelers:
- “Don’t be shy — make friends!!”
- “See all you can while you’re there.”
Rising Star Katie M. is an ICU RN who took her first Travel Nurse contract in eastern Washington state.
Katie’s Career Consultant at Medical Solutions, Stephanie W, says Katie has “strong clinical skills, which is why she can make Travel Nursing work for her.”
“Katie is one of those nurses who is always happy, and even though I have never met her in person I could tell she was always smiling over the phone,” says Stephanie. “She has a great work ethic and her director said that even though she was a Traveler she quickly became part of the team.”
Thank you and congrats again to July 2015’s Traveler of the Month and Rising Star — and thank you, Nicole and Katie, for your commitment to excellent patient care!
